France is one of my favorite country, it is famous for fashion designs, food, festivals and many more...... Let's go and have look through it!!!!

Most people associate French culture with Paris, which is a center of fashion, cuisine, art and architecture, but life outside of the City of Lights is very different and varies by region. ... Historically, French culture was influenced by Celtic and Gallo-Roman cultures as well as the Franks, a Germanic tribe.


Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.



Lyon, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, sits at the junction of the Rhône and Saône rivers. Its center reflects 2,000 years of history from the Roman Amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, medieval and Renaissance architecture in Vieux (Old) Lyon, to the modern Confluence district on Presqu'île peninsula.

France Festivals

“Pâques” (Easter) is an important holiday in France: a religious one of course, but also a traditional gathering for families, religious or not. For Easter, France enjoys a three day weekend, as Easter Monday is a national holiday in France.


Mardi Gras, (Fat Tuesday) festive day celebrated in France on Shrove Tuesday (the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday), which marks the close of the pre-Lenten season. The French name Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday, from the custom of using all the fats in the home before Lent in preparation for fasting and abstinence.


In some parts of France, Christmas comes early when Father Christmas brings small gifts and sweets for children on 6th December, the feast day of Saint-Nicolas (celebrated in the North and Northeast). French children leave out shoes instead of stockings for Santa. Santa Claus is known as le père noël.


La Toussaint – All Saints Day – takes place every year on November 1st and is celebrated by the catholic Church to honor all the saints, whether they are known or unknown. Celebrations begin on the evening of October 31st with a mass and end the next day which is a bank holiday for everyone in France.

Exploring Japan Two major religions influence Japanese traditions and culture:  Shintoism and Buddhism . Shintoism has been practiced in Japan for over 2,000 years. Shintoism has a lot to do with rituals, some Japanese may not feel it is a religion at all. The culture of Japan has changed greatly over the millennia. Tokyo, Japan’s busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. The opulent Meiji Shinto Shrine is known for its towering gate and surrounding woods. Hiroshima, a modern city on Japan’s Honshu Island, was largely destroyed by an atomic bomb during World War II.
